It has been decided to fill up the posts of Assistant Director of Enforcement in the pay scale of Rs.10,000-15,200 (pre-revised) on deputation basis in one or more of the following Zonal & Sub-Zonal Offices of the Enforcement Directorate :-
Zonal Office : Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Cochin, Ahmedabad, Bangalore & Hyderabad.
Sub-Zonal Office : Jaipur, Jalandhar, Srinagar, Varanasi, Guwahati, Calicut, Indore, Nagpur, Patna, Bhubaneshwar & Madurai.
2. In terms of the Recruitment Rules, the following categories of officers are eligible :-
Officers of All India Services/Central Services/including State Police Organizations/Central Bureau of Investigation :-
(a) (i) Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department ; or
(ii) with five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs. 8,000-13,500 (Pre-revised) or equivalent in the parent cadre/Department;
and
(b) (i) possessing experience of at least five years in the field of Intelligence, Investigation work and Adjudication relating to Fiscal /Criminal Laws, or
(ii) possessing experience of Banking/Accounts.

The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line on promotion will not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation.
Similarly, deputationist shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.
Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/department of Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 4 (four) years. The maximum age for appointment on deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
3. The duties of the post of Assistant Director of Enforcement include investigation and adjudication of cases under the provisions of Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999. He is also required to perform duties/functions in terms of the provisions of the Prevention of Money-Laundering Act, 2002.
4. The Pay & allowances and other terms will be regulated in accordance with the Department of Personnel & Training’s O.M.No.2/29/94-Estt(Pay-II), dated 5th January, 1994, as amended from time to time.
5. The Cadre Controlling Authorities are requested that applications of eligible and willing officers may be forwarded in the proforma annexed so as to reach to the Under Secretary (ED), Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Room No. 55, North Block, New Delhi within 60 days from the publication of this advertisement.
6. While forwarding the applications, the Cadre Controlling Authorities shall verify and ensure that the particulars furnished by the applicants are correct and no disciplinary case is either pending or contemplated against the officer concerned. The following documents should also be sent along with the applications:
(i) Two copies of bio data
(ii) Complete and up-to-date C.R. dossier for the last five years upto 2008-2009 or attested photocopy thereof.
(iii) Vigilance Certificate/Clearance
(iv) Integrity Certificate/Clearance
(v) Cadre Clearance
(vi) A statement of major/minor penalties, if any, imposed upon the
officer during the last 10 years.
Incomplete applications or applications not received through proper channel will not be entertained and will be rejected.
The candidates will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently on any ground.
