I am writing to suggest a security measure for PAN cards.

There have been increasing instances of PAN card fraud, where individuals misuse them for obtaining loans, opening companies fraudulently, and committing GST-related crimes and many more associated crimes happening.

To prevent such misuse, I propose a PAN card locking system similar to the biometric locking system available for Aadhaar cards. This system would allow users to lock their PAN cards through a web-based system or a mobile app.

An alternative option could be an SMS-based PAN card locking system secured by a user-generated 6 or 8-digit PIN.

I believe implementing such a system would significantly reduce PAN card fraud and protect citizens' financial well-being.
